FoxTrot comic strip by Bill Amend - "Balrog Purist" published October 12, 2008 - Marcus: My dwarf opens the door. Jason Fox: You see a room filled with flames. And in the middle of the flames stands a 30-foot-tall Balrog! Roll for initiative! Marcus: That's not a Balrog... it's a Khorne Bloodletter from Warhammer. Jason Fox: I didn't have a Balrog miniature. This is close enough. Marcus: It's from another game! You can't use miniatures from another game! Jason Fox: Look, the dungeon calls for a Balrog in this room! What do you want me to do?! Ride my bike two miles in the rain to the toy store just so you can look at the correct miniature for a fight that'll last maybe three minutes tops?! ... Purists can be a real pain the butt sometimes. Clerk: Balrog... Balrog... nope, all out.
