FoxTrot comic strip by Bill Amend - "Andy The Grinch" published December 13, 1999 - Peter: What are you doing? Jason: Writing a TV script. It occurs to me that most of the holiday specials we watch every year are over 30 years old. I thought it might be a good time to submit a new idea to the networks. Peter: So you've come up with one? Jason: Well, I had a little help from Mom. Peter: "The Mrs. Grinch who was too cheap for Christmas." Jason: Think I drew her face grouchy enough? Andy: Jason your wish list was 800 pages!

Mrs. Grinch HATED Christmas! The gifts and the presents! She wanted Those kids to live like poor peasants! Andy: A $5000 computer?!? Are you mad?!? Jason: Cheapskate.

Mrs. Grinch hated anything that came from the mall! Could it be that her wallet was two sizes too small?

In Kidville it's thought, in Kidville they say......that Mrs. Grinch must have just been born this way.

"My dear little lad," the mean Mrs. Grinch lied, "these socks are much better than some bike you can ride." "These socks are unbleached! This wool is undyed! The yarn in these socks was organically farmed with pride!"

Back home on her mountain, Mrs. Grinch had to pause......to catch Kidville's reaction to her night as S. Claus. With a hand to her ear, she listened to hear...the cheer! Surely, the cheer was now near! But instead of glad singing, she heard a different sound ringing!
